1 Product Designer
Initial Task
It all began with a four-person team being assigned the broad topic "Data Mirror" and the challenge of coming up with specific issues that contained the concept of data mirror.
Brain Storming
We all came up with four distinct ideas, but we all agreed on two: alzeheimer's illness and emotional technology, and we blended them. Helping people with incurable diseases through design appears to be socially and culturally fit.
Problem Statement
In the world where everyone is more connected to each other in the entire human history we are still unaware of neurological degenerative disorder such as AlzehimerDisease. Alzheimer's disease is a progressive neurological disorder that causes the brain to shrink (atrophy) and brain cells to die. Patients Experience a continuous decline in thinking, behavioral and social skills that affect a person's ability to function independently.
Concept Research
We conducted an extensive study on current technologies, including emotional analysis, generative art, self-reflection, and why it is crucial for individuals to be self-aware, and we came up with a concept of a tool or platform that can analyze the emotions of Alzheimer's patients.
Design & Development Challenges
After conducting concept research, the most difficult challenge we faced was determining how to present emotions to users, as well as what data metrics and features should be included in the application to make it as simple as possible. We decided to use generative art as a potential visual experience for patients and their loved ones, we also decided to involve the scenario of the holocaust and the ongoing research funding for this incurable disease.
Process Development
Inspiration
Vinyl Records and Clocks served as inspiration. How data is stored When making a vinyl record, a needle is used to make grooves in the vinyl, which are basically stored information of the intended sound or music, similar to how we employed grooves in our lines. Each line records one item of data, such as emotion, and the data will be collected for 24 hours to create art for one day.
Sensory Products Used
To Achieve the art we decided to use EEG (electroencephalography) Glasses and Smart Watch with an optical Sensor to collect Data metrics from Alzheimer's Patients.
Generative Art and Solution
The color Represent the emotional value as per the input received from sensory devices. The tone and shade of color represent the high and low.The intensity is also represented by the distortion of the smooth circle.

This Art can be further sold as an NFTs Output Art consisting of digital artwork like Images, videos, or GIFs; It could be printed in 3D as well.

This Data form can further be used for research analysis which gives a better understanding of Alzheimer's patients.
Data Axis
The colors represent the emotion experienced by the patient. (refer to emotional wheel chart)
5 major emotions experienced by Alzehimer's Patients recorded within 24 hours are :

- Afraid
- Excited
- Anxiety
- Anger
-Heartbeat
